Start with the distinctive words
Use the part of the name you remember confidently. If the result list is empty, remove an uncertain year before adding more words. An approximate date can be the year you discovered a film rather than its release year.
Movie or television?
Choose the format deliberately when both are plausible. For a series, find the programme first and select the season at the viewing destination. A later season does not require a different main series record for each release year.
Use genre and year after the name
The results filters are useful when several titles match. Clear a filter when it excludes the film you expected. Country-of-production browsing, original-language browsing and the viewing-country setting answer different questions.
Translated titles and franchises
Compare the original name, date and description. A market-specific title or new poster can still describe the same work. For Harry Potter, Spider-Man or an animated franchise, keep the full subtitle when it distinguishes the chapter you want.
